Michael Haluwana
Michael Haluwana is an internationally acclaimed cinematographer, photographer, and aerial videographer with over 20 years of experience. Specialising in wildlife, landscape, and night sky cinematography, his work has been featured by National Geographic, BBC, Australian Antarctic Division, Virgin Galactic, Sony, and Canon.
Contributing to Planet Earth II and Planet Earth III, Michael has collaborated with Sir David Attenborough and leading global productions. His exhibitions Walking with Colour and The World of 70% have been showcased at the WA Museum and Maritime Museum, while his photography and fine art photography book is displayed at Perth and Sydney International Airports.
Michael's journey into the world of cinematography and photography was inspired by his childhood in Sri Lanka, where he grew up amidst nature and the ocean, often watching Sir David Attenborough documentaries with his father, a master diver. This early passion for storytelling and documenting the natural world has driven him to explore and capture the beauty of our planet, from the depths of the ocean to the vast expanse of the earth and sky.
As the founder of Aeroture, Michael pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling, combining cutting-edge technology with artistic vision. His work continues to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide.
